Project Engineer – Nuclear Energy

About the role

Westinghouse Electric Italy is seeking a Project Engineer to act as the Italian representative of a cross‑country team delivering an international nuclear project. Based in Monfalcone, you will ensure compliance with standards, codes and regulatory requirements while supporting manufacturing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor manufacturing and inspection procedures from development through external approval.
• Ensure technical alignment with regulatory requirements and adherence to project deadlines.
• Address non‑conformances in collaboration with engineering, quality and regulatory teams.
• Serve as the local representative for the Notified Body and French regulatory authorities.
• Provide technical support for resolving manufacturing deviations.
• Travel occasionally to France for business meetings.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in manufacturing environments; nuclear sector experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in English and French.
• Comfortable using common IT tools and software.
• Knowledge of nuclear codes and regulations (RCC‑M, ESPN, PED) is an asset.
