Project Investment Controller – CAPEX

About the role

We are seeking a Project Investment Controller to join the CAPEX team at our Milan headquarters. Reporting to the CAPEX Manager and working closely with the Finance function of the Transmission Business Unit, you will help govern manufacturing investments that expand the Group’s plant footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Support the CAPEX team in preparing comprehensive business cases, including financial analysis, risk assessment and expected returns.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, R&D and plant teams to define project budgets and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
• Work with the Procurement team to monitor supplier utilisation, identify alternative sources and drive spending efficiencies.
• Track project progress – timelines, orders and budgets – and provide regular economic reports.
• Maintain the project breakdown structure, monitor expenditures, forecast final costs and address budget variances promptly.
• Conduct post‑project financial analysis to compare actual results with initial projections and suggest improvements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Management Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in budget management and project accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Italian; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time.
