Project Manager – Tissue Converting (Lucca)

About the role

Valmet is looking for a Project Manager specialized in tissue converting to lead end‑to‑end projects in a global industrial environment. Based in Lucca, you will oversee projects from order intake through final commissioning at the customer site, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all project activities, resources and tasks following the Valmet Project Execution Model.
• Drive project milestones, monitor progress and manage changes after kick‑off.
• Identify risks, define mitigation strategies and handle issues, escalating when necessary.
• Act as the primary interface between customers, internal teams and sales partners, organizing FATs and providing regular status updates.
• Lead internal project teams, ensure clear responsibilities, and support cross‑functional collaboration.
• Maintain site safety, oversee technician coordination and ensure effective communication across all stakeholders.
• Utilize Valmet tools, follow internal procedures and contribute to continuous improvement of project processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Business or a related field.
• 2–5 years of project management experience in an industrial setting (paper/tissue industry is a plus).
• Business‑level English (minimum B2).
• Willingness to travel 60–100 days per year.
