Proposal Engineer – Cold Rolling Downstream Team

About the role

We are seeking a Proposal Engineer to join our Cold Rolling Downstream Team. You will coordinate the technical development of proposals, ensuring they align with client specifications, internal standards and cost estimates.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate technical development of proposals, aligning client specifications, internal standards and supplier input.
• Define and validate preliminary plant layouts, ensuring regulatory compliance and technical feasibility.
• Support risk analysis by identifying technical and execution risks.
• Interface with Engineering to consolidate technical documentation, material lists and scope definition.
• Ensure consistency between technical scope and cost estimates, spotting gaps or optimisation opportunities.
• Prepare and integrate technical documentation for final offer submission.
• Monitor proposal progress, ensuring timely execution and corrective actions.
• Contribute to evaluation of suppliers' quotations and technical alignment.
• Collaborate with Proposal, Technical and Commercial Managers for final validation and submission.
• Provide feedback to R&D on product improvements and innovation opportunities.
• Monitor market and technology trends within the cold rolling sector.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Automation Engineering.
• Good knowledge of contract types, including international contracts.
• Mandatory knowledge of CRM and SAP.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong teamwork, proactivity and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
