Propulsion Architect / Propulsion Engineer

About the role

Thales Alenia Space is looking for a Propulsion Architect / Propulsion Engineer to join its Specific Engineering team. You will contribute to the design and development of hardware solutions for space propulsion systems, working in a multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hardware engineering activities related to propulsion-specific technologies.
• Analyse and define technical needs using studies, simulations, mock‑ups, models or prototypes.
• Describe functional requirements and formalise specifications and architectural designs.
• Identify critical development issues and support their resolution.
• Produce accurate technical reports on findings and progress.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Significant experience in hardware development, preferably in a propulsion‑related speciality (e.g., electrical engineering, fluid dynamics, materials, etc.).
• Team‑player attitude with a customer‑oriented mindset.
• Rigorous, analytical approach and ability to evaluate and improve outcomes.
