Quality Inspector

About the role

Cavotec is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure that all incoming materials, in‑process production, and finished products meet the company’s high quality standards. The role involves performing precise inspections, documenting results, and supporting continuous improvement across the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect purchased parts, sub‑assemblies and finished products using physical, mechanical and electrical measurement techniques.
• Coordinate re‑work or rejection of non‑conforming items and document inspection outcomes accurately.
• Record and manage non‑conformities, maintain supply documentation, and ensure measuring instruments are calibrated and operational.
• Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols and checklists.
• Evaluate problems, propose corrective actions, and provide feedback to production and Quality Assurance teams.

Required profile

• Technical school diploma.
• Previous experience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar role.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges and surface‑roughness testers.
• Experience measuring precision mechanical components (shafts, flanges, gears, etc.).li>
• Knowledge of surface defects from welding, painting and galvanising processes.
• Competence in Microsoft Office, CAD and SolidWorks.
