Quality Specialist – Process & Product Excellence

About the role

ABB is looking for a Quality Specialist to support the deployment of its quality strategy within a local organizational unit. You will help build a strong quality culture, implement robust systems and tools, and work with cross‑functional teams to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Define quality requirements, quality gates and process control plans for new product launches.
• Support early‑stage product development to ensure compliance with quality specifications after launch.
• Develop and deliver quality procedures and training programs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives on both processes and products for a specific product family.
• Coordinate quality activities in production to meet business targets.
• Act as a reference for suppliers and customers during process audits.
• Manage non‑conformities, lead root‑cause analysis using the DMAIC approach, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain quality data and metrics in line with ABB standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of English and Italian, both written and spoken.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to deliver results.

Required skills

• Statistical analysis and use of statistical software (e.g., Minitab).
• Lean Six Sigma methodology and DMAIC problem‑solving approach.
