R&D Gelato Intern

About the role

Venchi is seeking a motivated R&D Gelato Intern to join its research and development team at the Castelletto Stura facility. Working under the Senior R&D Gelato & F&B Specialist, you will gain hands‑on experience in product innovation, ingredient evaluation, and laboratory testing for high‑quality gelato.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare gelato bases following recipes and quality standards.
• Assist with supplier communication, sample handling, and logistics.
• Support ingredient pre‑screening, trials, and substitution experiments.
• Execute product trials and track raw material consumption.
• Collect data and perform basic analysis for empirical testing.
• Maintain the recipe database and update technical documentation.
• Prepare processing sheets and ensure laboratory cleanliness and organization.
• Contribute to innovation projects and collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Production teams.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Strong interest in the food & beverage sector, especially gelato or pastry.
• Detail‑oriented with good organizational skills.
• Analytical mindset and problem‑solving attitude.
• Team player with willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluent in Italian and proficient in English.
