R&D Program Management Internship – Maranello

About the role

Ferrari’s R&D Program Management team in Maranello is seeking a motivated intern to support the planning and cost control of component development projects. The role offers exposure to high‑performance automotive engineering and the chance to work alongside experienced function managers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing development cost estimates for the multi‑year R&D budget and monitoring annual spend.
• Track progress of project plans, flagging potential risks and opportunities.
• Determine resource and facility needs to ensure compliance with the Product Group Plan and Component Plan.
• Collaborate with the CDC manager to allocate skills and resources efficiently across projects.
• Monitor actual project hours versus planned hours and report discrepancies.
• Help define Make/Buy strategies for required skills and performance.
• Support operational economic management, including issuing purchase requests aligned with objectives.

Required profile

• Recent Master graduate or final‑year Master student (eligible for internship) in Management, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Passion for automotive and innovative solutions, with prior internship or project experience in automotive or luxury sectors.
• Analytical, target‑oriented and structured thinking with strong communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
