Receptionist – Luxury Cruise Line (Worldwide)

About the role

We are seeking a professional Receptionist to join our luxury cruise line and deliver exceptional guest services across the globe. Working on board, you will be the first point of contact for passengers, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality guest service at the reception desk, handling enquiries, requests and complaints promptly.
• Coordinate guest needs, including restaurant reservations, wake‑up calls, mail services, and DVD/CD rentals.
• Process financial transactions such as cash payments, traveller’s checks, foreign currency exchange, credit cards and cash advances, and reconcile cash with the Financial Officer at the end of each cruise.
• Maintain communication with the Guest Relations Manager and other ship departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures and uphold moral integrity in all interactions.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of guest‑facing or front‑desk experience in an international 5‑star or luxury environment.
• Excellent fluency in English (verbal and written); additional language skills in Spanish, Portuguese, German or French are highly desirable.
• Strong administrative abilities, well‑organized, self‑motivated and capable of handling multiple demands under pressure.
• Adaptable, quick‑thinking, and able to make decisions while maintaining attention to detail.
