Reservations Agent – Luxury Hotel (Lake Como)

About the role

Sereno Hotels is seeking a motivated Reservations Agent to join the team at its 5‑star property on Lake Como. You will be the first point of contact for guests booking stays, handling inquiries, and ensuring a seamless reservation experience for an international clientele.

Key responsibilities

• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone and email.
• Explain rate plans, booking and cancellation policies, and accommodate special requests.
• Provide information about property facilities, services, and accommodations.
• Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue and input accurate data into the property management system.
• Code special room types (complimentary, employee discounts, travel‑agent rates, wholesale) correctly.
• Escalate guest concerns following proper procedures.
• Run daily AM and PM reports and compile monthly commission data.
• Maintain daily reservation files and related correspondence.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in Italy.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality/tourism diploma preferred.
• Previous experience in hotel reservations.
• Fluency in English and Italian; French is a plus.
• Strong sales ability, communication skills, and time‑management.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a hotel Property Management System.
• Experience using a reservations software platform.
