Resort Manager – Luxury Hotel Operations Lead

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Resort Manager to lead the operational launch and ongoing excellence of a luxury resort within the Mandarin Oriental portfolio. Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with ownership and cluster leadership, you will shape the guest experience and drive financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of Rooms Division and Food & Beverage, ensuring seamless integration and adherence to Mandarin Oriental service standards.
• Lead pre‑opening activities, including SOP implementation, service culture embedding and team readiness.
• Welcome VIP guests, monitor guest feedback (LQE, Forbes, LQA) and implement corrective actions to exceed quality benchmarks.
• Drive Gross Operating Profit through cost control, revenue optimisation and identification of new revenue streams, especially in F&B.
• Translate business strategy into operational execution, analysing market trends and collaborating with Sales & Marketing and Revenue teams.
• Lead, coach and develop department heads, fostering a high‑performance culture aligned with brand values.
• Maintain professional relationships with ownership, prepare reports and ensure clear communication across stakeholders.
• Identify operational efficiencies, lead change‑management initiatives and promote continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in luxury hotel or resort operations, preferably in a pre‑opening or repositioning context.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving financial targets.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to inspire and develop high‑performing teams.
