Restaurant Host/Hostess – Luxury Hotel

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and polished Restaurant Host/Hostess to join the Terrazza Restaurant at Splendido, a Belmond Hotel in Portofino. The role focuses on delivering a warm first impression, managing reservations and ensuring each guest enjoys a seamless, high‑end dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and greet all guests upon arrival, anticipating their needs.
• Manage restaurant reservations using the hotel’s reservation system and accommodate walk‑in guests.
• Escort guests to their tables, arrange seating and handle special requests.
• Communicate guest flow, special requests and any issues to the service team, kitchen and management.
• Address guest inquiries and resolve minor issues promptly, escalating when necessary.
• Maintain the dining area’s ambience, ensuring cleanliness and proper setup.
• Uphold Belmond’s luxury service standards and hotel policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high‑end restaurant.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, engaging personality.
• Polished appearance that reflects luxury standards.
• Proactive, intuitive approach to guest service.
• Fluency in Italian and English; additional languages (French, German, Russian) are a plus.
• Passion for hospitality and commitment to world‑class service.

What we offer

• Seasonal fixed‑term contract (June 2026 – November 2026) with the possibility of continued collaboration.
• Monthly gross salary of €1,700 plus separate payslips for 13th, 14th month and TFR.
