Robotics & AI Software Junior Engineer

About the role

Stellantis is seeking a motivated Junior Engineer to join its Robotics & Artificial Intelligence team. You will help develop software for intelligent robotic systems used in manufacturing, logistics and quality control, gaining hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge AI and simulation tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software components for industrial robots, autonomous mobile robots, mobile manipulators and humanoids using Python and C++.
• Implement AI modules for perception, environment understanding and decision‑making.
• Integrate Vision‑Language Models to enable semantic perception and contextual interpretation.
• Build Vision‑Language‑Action pipelines that link perception, reasoning and robotic actions.
• Use NVIDIA Omniverse for simulation, testing, validation and digital‑twin creation.
• Integrate sensors such as cameras and LiDAR with robot controllers and IT/OT systems.
• Participate in testing, debugging and validation in both simulated and real‑world environments.
• Support technical documentation and proof‑of‑concept or pilot projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Robotics or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of robotics, autonomous systems and software engineering principles.
• Familiarity with Linux and open‑source development environments.

Required skills

• Python programming (AI development, prototyping, scripting, data processing).
• C++ programming (real‑time, performance‑critical robot software).
• Linux operating system.
• NVIDIA Omniverse simulation platform.
