Sales & Events Manager

About the role

The Grand Hotel Timeo, a Belmond Hotel, is looking for an Event Sales Manager in Taormina. You will be a key figure in the commercial and operational management of the groups and events segment, combining proactive and reactive sales strategies (rooms and F&B) with flawless delivery of luxury service standards. You will coordinate the team and work closely with all operational departments.

Key responsibilities

• Handle incoming event and group inquiries, run the full negotiation lifecycle, create custom proposals and coordinate site inspections with the Special Events Sales Office in Milan
• Manage group accommodation details, from rooming lists to room blocks and cut-off dates, and support familiarization trips
• Create non-accommodation event proposals highlighting upselling opportunities and value-added services, and promote VIP treatments and personalized itineraries
• Keep sales aligned with operations, organize pre-conference meetings and maintain close contact with Front Office, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage managers
• Run a feedback system and exit interviews with the SESO Director and General Managers to monitor client satisfaction
• Track event revenue metrics, meet group and F&B revenue targets and banqueting objectives, and keep guest satisfaction high

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar sales or events management role, preferably in luxury hospitality
• Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent
• Excellent written and spoken English and Italian; a third language is a strong plus
• Commercial acumen, strong negotiation and communication skills, and ability to work under pressure
