Sales Executive - Marine Automation

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking a Sales Executive to lead the growth of its Marine Automation and Digital Solutions portfolio. You will act as a consultative seller, engaging senior technical and executive stakeholders across the Marine, Offshore, and Naval sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Own and develop a portfolio of strategic Marine, Offshore, and Naval accounts, serving as the primary commercial lead.
• Drive adoption of Johnson Controls’ digital platforms (OpenBlue, Metasys) and PLC‑based automation solutions.
• Execute value‑based selling, influencing shipyard owners, EPCs, system integrators, and naval authorities.
• Lead opportunity qualification, deal strategy, and value engineering together with engineering, product, and project teams.
• Engage early in project phases to shape specifications, system architecture, and design decisions.
• Collect market feedback and provide structured recommendations to product management and R&D.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B sales of automation or digital solutions to large industrial customers.
• Strong ability to build relationships with senior technical and executive decision‑makers.
• Excellent analytical skills to translate market trends into actionable insights.
• Comfortable working cross‑functionally with engineering, product, and project teams.
