Sales Manager

About the role

APM Terminals, part of the Maersk Group, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead commercial growth at its Vado Ligure terminal. You will drive sales strategy, expand landside services, and strengthen key customer relationships in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies that drive profitable growth and support the terminal’s commercial objectives.
• Identify new business opportunities, develop landside service offerings, and expand existing customer relationships.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure and deliver sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders, tailoring solutions to their needs.
• Monitor sales performance, pipeline health, profitability, and commercial KPIs; provide forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Sales Executive while fostering a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Sales, Business Development, Commercial Management, or Key Account Management.
• Strong knowledge of the Shipping, Logistics, Transportation, or Supply Chain industry.
• Demonstrated success in driving commercial growth and achieving ambitious sales targets.
• Experience managing strategic customer relationships and leading complex negotiations.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
