Sales Specialist – Sustainable Materials (B2B)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Sales Specialist to drive new business for a pioneering biomaterials company that creates sustainable alternatives to traditional leather. You will engage prospective brand partners across fashion, footwear, automotive and other industries, turning interest into concrete opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop sales opportunities with brands in fashion, footwear and accessories.
• Manage inbound and outbound sales activities, including timely follow‑up and proactive outreach.
• Lead customer meetings throughout the sales pipeline, from initial contact to commercial follow‑up.
• Present the company’s materials, capabilities and value proposition to prospects.
• Build relationships with product development, design and sustainability teams within target brands.
• Collaborate with the Chief Growth Officer to prioritize leads and refine outreach strategies.
• Coordinate sample hand‑offs and logistics with the Sales Coordinator.
• Attend industry events and trade shows to generate new leads.
• Provide feedback on customer needs, market trends and product requests.
• Maintain basic CRM updates and track sales activity.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of B2B sales, business development or brand partnership experience.
• Experience selling to fashion, footwear, materials, textiles, automotive or related sectors is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to generate and close new business opportunities.
• Highly self‑motivated, organized and responsive in an entrepreneurial startup environment.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Passion for sustainability, material innovation and emerging manufacturing technologies.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM software (Hubspot is a plus).
