Senior Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

MG Motor Italy is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its Finance team. This high‑visibility position works closely with senior management and supports the company’s rapid growth in the automotive market.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable, invoicing and supplier reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable and handle employee payment requests.
• Conduct daily banking operations, cash collections, and F24 processing.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including labor costs, accruals and provisions, in compliance with Italian accounting principles.
• Perform periodic account reconciliations and ensure overall accounting accuracy.
• Handle tax obligations such as VAT settlements and F24 filings.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Prepare monthly reporting packages according to IFRS standards.
• Monitor factoring activities and credit‑related processes.
• Liaise with external auditors, internal audit, tax advisors and banking institutions.
• Act as the main administrative interface for internal departments, customers and suppliers.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in an international or structured environment.
• Strong knowledge of Italian accounting principles (OIC) and tax requirements.
• Good understanding of IFRS reporting principles.
• Proven ability to manage month‑end closing activities independently.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
