Senior Backend Engineer – Core Domain

About the role

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer you will own the engineering backbone of Satispay's payment platform, ensuring high‑performing and scalable core systems. You will work on critical domains such as the Transaction Ledger, Identity & Access Management, and Payment Orchestration, driving technical excellence across the team.

Key responsibilities

• Engineer core platform domains – design and evolve sensitive systems like the Transaction Ledger, IAM, and Payment Orchestration.
• Scale risk & financial engines – optimize services for bank integrations, credit risk, and real‑time fraud detection.
• Provide cross‑team technical leadership – drive analysis for multi‑service projects and produce high‑quality documentation.
• Foster engineering excellence – ensure rigorous testing, safe rollouts, and a culture of simplicity and maintainability.
• Mentor and develop junior and mid‑level engineers, helping adopt tools that accelerate development cycles.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience, preferably with microservices and cloud environments.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, teamwork orientation, and a high degree of ownership.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly across teams.
• Passion for FinTech and fluency in English.
