Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer – LabOps

About the role

The Senior Full‑Stack Software Engineer will help accelerate automation and digitisation of laboratory operations for UL Solutions. Working remotely from Italy or Poland, you will join a multidisciplinary team to build digital tools and automation solutions for the lab.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and modify information system programs for lab automation.
• Implement moderately complex requirements across multiple platforms and operating systems.
• Collaborate with users, product, and technology teams to gather requirements and propose solutions.
• Analyse and resolve application issues, monitor project progress and produce reports.
• Improve system performance by investigating problems, defining specifications and recommending technology trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React.js, Angular or similar).
• 5+ years of backend development experience using Django, Flask, FastAPI or equivalent.
• Proven ability to work closely with users, understand workflows and incorporate feedback.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 10% of the time.
