Senior Inspection Engineer – EPC Phase

About the role

Intertek is looking for a Senior Inspection Engineer to support the EPC phases of multiple projects. The role bridges design intent and on‑site execution, ensuring that all materials, equipment and construction activities meet project specifications, international codes and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review engineering documentation for the Inspection Department during EPC (baseline inspection documents, RBI requirements, etc.).
• Review vendor documentation, including inspection test plans (ITPs) and results from FAT, SAT and baseline reports.
• Supervise activities performed by external service providers.
• Ensure compliance with international standards (API, ASME, ASTM), project‑specific procedures and local regulations.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to keep CMMS data aligned with contractual setups.
• Participate in RBI assessment studies and recommend suitable inspection techniques.
• Collaborate with engineering, commissioning, fabrication and maintenance departments to achieve operational readiness.
• Monitor budget and schedule for inspection‑related activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years EPC + operational inspection experience for engineers, 10 years for senior engineers.
• At least two core API certifications (e.g., API 510, API 570, API 653).
• API 580 qualification or 5 years of proven RBI assessment experience.
• Strong knowledge of international codes, RBI methodology, damage mechanisms and in‑service inspections.

Required skills

• API 510, API 570, API 653, API 580, API 571 certifications.
• CSWIP/AWS certification (preferred).
• Experience with CMMS platforms such as SAP or Maximo.
• Familiarity with IDMS tools (Antea, Nexus, APM Meridium or equivalents).
