Senior Production Manager

About the role

Greif, a global leader in performance packaging, is looking for a Senior Production Manager in Bottanuco. The role coordinates, develops and optimises the operational activities of the assigned production area, leading the team and driving operational performance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement aligned with Greif Way principles.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, organise and develop the production team, focusing on safety, accountability and the Greif Way.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and management systems, meeting regulatory, customer and corporate requirements.
• Plan and coordinate operations so resources are used effectively and production is continuous.
• Manage workforce organisation, including shift scheduling, attendance planning and training.
• Keep to production schedules and delivery commitments, working with Planning, Logistics and Commercial.
• Monitor performance through KPIs, reduce waste and scrap, and collaborate with Quality on non-conformities, corrective actions and complaints.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and promote prevention.
• Drive continuous improvement with Lean Manufacturing, 5S and employee involvement.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Purchasing, Planning and Logistics, and support automation, digitalisation and change management projects.
• Be accountable for Safety, Quality, Environmental, Productivity and Cost targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or an equivalent technical discipline, or significant experience managing production departments in complex industrial environments.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role; at least 2 years in a multinational environment preferred.
• English at B2 level.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office and Infor LN.
• Knowledge of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal, delegation and supervisory skills, and good communication and organisational abilities.

What we offer

• Pay range of EUR 45,700 to EUR 77,700 per year, typically EUR 50,000 to EUR 60,000 for new hires, with possible short-term incentives.
