Senior Project Manager – EPC Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

We are seeking a senior Project Manager to lead EPC oil & gas projects from our Milan headquarters. The role carries full P&L responsibility for medium‑sized projects, overseeing all phases from engineering and procurement to construction and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Direct execution of assigned EPC scopes, applying formal project‑management methodologies from initiation through close‑out.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, schedule and budget targets.
• Manage project budgets, contingencies, costs and receivables, driving value creation.
• Review contracts, negotiate commercial terms and supervise claim preparation in coordination with Contract Managers.
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams across offices and field sites, fostering talent development and inclusion.
• Act as senior company representative to clients, subcontractors and authorities, handling communications and building strategic networks.
• Maintain physical presence on‑site during critical phases or when requested by the customer.

Required profile

• Proven experience planning and managing medium‑sized EPC engineering projects in the Energy, Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors.
• Strong technical and business acumen with the ability to analyse schedules, control costs and assess profit impact.
• Deep understanding of contract terminology and contingency management.
• Demonstrated capability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage global resources or joint‑venture partners, and resolve conflicts.
• Excellent networking, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.
