Senior Tax Specialist

About the role

Accenture is seeking a proactive Senior Tax Specialist to support the Area Tax Lead across a multi‑country region. The role involves advising on client engagements, regional tax planning, and M&A projects while ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Area Tax Lead with client engagements, tax planning opportunities and M&A projects.
• Supervise tax compliance across Italy, Poland, Greece, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Israel, Hungary and Cyprus.
• Interact regularly with regional management, senior finance, legal, treasury and controllership teams.
• Analyze tax implications of transactions and business projects in collaboration with internal and external advisors.
• Monitor legislative changes, support statutory audits and ensure compliance with tax laws.
• Develop tax planning proposals and coordinate implementation with GTG Leads.
• Communicate complex tax matters to non‑tax stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Support tax audits, controversies and coordinate external advisers.
• Assist with income tax returns, tax accounting, forecasting and reporting.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills in English and Italian.
• Independent, proactive and comfortable in a dynamic, international environment.
• Ability to engage effectively with management and non‑tax functions.
• Solid organizational abilities and attention to detail.
