Senior Technical Project Manager – FinTech (Italy)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of innovative fintech products in Italy. The role sits at the intersection of digital finance, payments and blockchain, working closely with product, engineering and executive teams to turn strategic goals into actionable road‑maps and successful releases.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle of mobile and platform initiatives, from discovery and planning through deployment and post‑release optimisation.
• Maintain realistic forecasts, delivery timelines and governance to ensure high predictability across development cycles.
• Manage project tracking tools, document progress, risks, blockers and dependencies with full transparency.
• Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria and development‑ready tasks.
• Facilitate cross‑functional communication, resolve technical and operational challenges and drive continuous improvement of sprint planning, estimation and delivery standards.
• Act as the trusted liaison between leadership and technical teams, ensuring strategic priorities are executed without unnecessary executive intervention.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management, Delivery Management or Technical Program Management within fintech, financial services or other regulated sectors.
• Strong technical background with the ability to understand APIs, backend systems, software architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven track record of managing cross‑functional software development teams in agile environments.
• Deep knowledge of Scrum, Kanban and adaptive agile methodologies, with the ability to tailor frameworks to business needs.
• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills.
