Service Engineer – NATO Communications & Information Agency

About the role

Join the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) in Naples as a Service Engineer, supporting critical Communication and Information Systems (CIS) for NATO customers during peacetime, crisis, and war. You will work within the CSU Naples team, delivering secure, reliable end‑to‑end services under the Enterprise Service Delivery Model.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation for medium‑size initiatives.
• Facilitate stakeholder input, provide constructive challenge and ensure effective prioritisation of requirements.
• Plan and drive systems development projects, selecting appropriate methods, tools and techniques.
• Provide technical expertise for configuration of system components and equipment during testing.
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop system integration plans and report progress.
• Support management of assigned IT and operational assets across the C4ISR environment.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage complex technical projects.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and teamwork.
• Experience working in defence, aerospace or similar high‑security environments is advantageous.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Communication and Information Systems (CIS).
• Familiarity with C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) concepts.
• Experience in systems development, configuration and integration.
