Shift Technician – Data Centre / Critical Facilities

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Shift Technician to ensure the safe and reliable operation of a critical‑facility environment in the Milan area. The role combines routine and reactive maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems with site inspections, contractor supervision, and monitoring of building management systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on low‑voltage and medium‑voltage electrical infrastructure.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and HVAC equipment.
• Conduct regular site checks to verify correct operation of all systems.
• Assist in fault finding, troubleshooting, and first‑line technical response.
• Escort and supervise subcontractors working on‑site.
• Monitor facility systems through the Building Management System (BMS) and raise issues as needed.
• Ensure all work complies with site safety procedures, maintenance standards, and operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and technical interventions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities or electrical maintenance.
• Hands‑on experience with low‑voltage and medium‑voltage electrical systems.
• Familiarity with data‑centre or other high‑availability environments is a strong advantage.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems is beneficial.
• Professional attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors.
