Site Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Site Manager to join our Downstream Team and lead the execution phase of projects in Genova. The role ensures milestones are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards while acting as the main liaison with the Head Office and the Customer.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver executive phase milestones (Erection Certificate, PAC, FAC) on schedule, budget, quality and safety targets.
• Serve as the primary site representative, maintaining strong relationships with the Customer and reporting progress to Head Office.
• Organise and supervise material/equipment OPI, erection and commissioning activities, coordinating with the site team and subcontractors.
• Prepare final site reports, including NCR summary, as‑built documentation, erection yield and manpower hours.
• Compile the Site Final Quality Dossier in line with the Erection Quality Control Plan.
• Manage engineering and supply non‑conformities, propose disposal solutions and support claim handling with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related mechanical background.
• 3–5 years of experience in similar site management roles.
• Experience in the steel industry; knowledge of reheating and treatment line furnace installation and commissioning is a strong plus.
• Willingness to travel worldwide frequently.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently in dynamic environments.
