Small Items Inbound Team Leader

About the role

JD Logistics is launching its small‑goods fulfillment network in Italy and needs a hands‑on leader to run the inbound shift. The Small Items Inbound Team Leader will supervise dock unloading, quality inspection, scanning and high‑velocity stowing, ensuring that incoming inventory is captured and ready for order picking.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily inbound operations, including trailer unloading, item registration and stowing.
• Track and meet hourly dock‑to‑stock SLA targets.
• Identify and resolve sorting bottlenecks and inventory discrepancies.
• Allocate operators across receiving bays and storage aisles, manage attendance and shift handovers.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain a proactive safety culture on the floor.
• Collaborate with inventory control to optimise storage space and comply with automated picking profiles.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large warehouse or inbound teams.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, fluid environment.
• Focus on accuracy, defect control and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and people‑management abilities.
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
