Smart Manufacturing & Connected Systems Specialist

About the role

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Smart Manufacturing & Connected Systems Specialist to join the Business Process Innovation (BPI) team. The role will support and execute projects that advance Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Operational Technology (OT), and Business Intelligence (BI) across global operations, driving digital transformation on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Support innovation projects from requirements gathering through go‑live and post‑deployment monitoring.
• Collaborate with IT, system integrators, and solution providers to ensure successful delivery.
• Analyze shop‑floor data and develop BI reports, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor performance.
• Provide day‑to‑day support for MES and OT solutions, including troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with other BPI Centers of Excellence to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, IT, Statistics, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
• Solid technical background with hands‑on experience in MES and OT environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent in English; French or other languages are a plus.
