Software Engineer - Full-Stack

About the role

Be My Eye is looking for a motivated Full‑Stack Software Engineer to join its Milan office. You will work on both backend services and mobile applications that power a global retail intelligence platform, collaborating with senior engineers, product managers and designers in an agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java and Scala backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Contribute to iOS and Android mobile apps built with Ionic and native components.
• Write clean, well‑tested code and actively participate in code reviews.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues using logs and monitoring tools.
• Translate product and design requirements into technical solutions.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of professional software development experience.
• Familiarity with Java and Scala, or a strong willingness to learn.
• Good understanding of RESTful API design, micro‑services and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Exposure to iOS and/or Android development or a strong interest in mobile app engineering.
