Software Engineer – Full‑Stack (C#/WPF, C++)

About the role

SPEA is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Engineering team in Volpiano. You will work as a full‑stack developer on complex test systems for semiconductor and electronic board testing, creating both machine‑control software and graphical user interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Develop machine‑control applications and GUIs within a multidisciplinary team.
• Design and implement the frontend using C# / WPF with the .NET framework, following the MVVM pattern.
• Write backend logic in C# and C++, interfacing with C++ libraries via P/Invoke when required.
• Work primarily in Windows environments using Microsoft Visual Studio and manage source code with Git.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical and electronic designers to ensure seamless integration of all functional aspects.
• Plan design activities and maintain technical documentation for software products.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent experience in industrial automation, robotics, or test machinery.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and proactive attitude toward technical challenges.
• Excellent organization, precision, reliability, and teamwork skills.
• Good spoken English and willingness to travel domestically and internationally for short trips.
• Basic understanding of electronics is a plus.
