Software Engineer – Windows Applications

About the role

Sontheim Industrie Elektronik GmbH is expanding its Italian branch in Rovereto and seeks a Software Engineer focused on Windows development. The position blends hands‑on coding with direct technical liaison to Italian customers, translating their needs into concrete solutions together with the German engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Windows applications using C#.
• Contribute to Linux‑side components in C++ and build user interfaces with XAML.
• Utilise AI‑assisted coding tools as part of the development workflow.
• Conduct technical discussions, on‑site visits and demos for prospects and existing customers in Italy.
• Travel approximately once a month to client sites or the headquarters in Germany.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Fluent in both Italian and English.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with customers and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• C# development for Windows.
• Practical knowledge of C++ on Linux.
• Experience with XAML for UI design.
