Staff Accommodation Manager

About the role

The Staff Accommodation Manager will lead the planning, set‑up and ongoing management of all colleague housing for the new Mandarin Oriental Cristallo resort in Cortina. Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, the role ensures a safe, comfortable and well‑maintained living environment that supports staff wellbeing and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Support the pre‑opening planning, furnishing and readiness of staff houses and externally leased apartments.
• Develop accommodation procedures, house rules, allocation processes and reporting tools.
• Coordinate utility activation, supplier onboarding and service contracts before staff arrivals.
• Manage daily operations of all staff accommodation, including room allocations, arrivals, departures and transfers.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, presentation and functionality across all housing units.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for colleague accommodation enquiries, requests and welfare matters.
• Promote an inclusive, respectful living environment and ensure compliance with policies and house rules.
• Oversee inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs and refurbishment projects with engineering, landlords and external contractors.
• Control inventories, keys, access devices, furniture, equipment and company assets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing staff or employee accommodation within the hospitality sector.
• Strong organisational and project‑management skills, especially in pre‑opening environments.
• Ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, landlords, suppliers and contractors.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.
• Excellent communication skills and a service‑oriented mindset.
