Staff Software Engineer

About the role

As a Staff Software Engineer at Satispay you will define the long‑term technical vision for a key domain, architect complex subsystems and lead initiatives that empower millions of users to reach their financial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical strategy and architect cross‑product subsystems that power core features.
• Advance the architecture by designing scalable, high‑quality back‑end systems.
• Provide technical thought leadership, building cross‑organizational alignment and representing the vision internally and externally.
• Develop talent by mentoring the next generation of technical leaders.
• Generate impact through reliable, high‑throughput infrastructure that supports Satispay’s mission.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of back‑end engineering experience with a proven record of building microservices for high‑traffic platforms.
• Deep expertise in Java and strong understanding of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Excellent strategic communication skills and ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated thought leadership and ability to influence emerging technology trends.
• Passion for FinTech or startup environments and fluency in English.
