Strategic Business Development Director, Europe

About the role

Brush Group is seeking a Strategic Business Development Director for Europe to lead the expansion of its Transmission & Distribution portfolio across selected European markets. Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer, you will shape and execute the growth strategy for a world‑leading provider of power transformers, switchgear, and engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a strategic playbook for the European T&D market in collaboration with product, commercial and business‑unit teams.
• Participate in business planning, budgeting, monthly financial reporting and operational reviews.
• Identify, assess and develop new partnerships, positioning Brush’s product and service portfolio to generate profitable sales opportunities.
• Leverage existing customer relationships to introduce enhanced solutions, lead technical and commercial negotiations, and support project management and service delivery.
• Maintain deep knowledge of industry policy, market dynamics and regulatory trends, influencing strategy where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with data‑protection policies within the assigned markets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience in senior business development or commercial leadership roles within the energy or power equipment sector.
• Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships and drive revenue growth in European markets.
