System Administrator

About the role

Prometeia is seeking a System Administrator to join its ICT Department. Reporting to the Corporate IT function, you will act as a second‑level reference point for the company’s infrastructure, handling escalations from first‑level support and contributing to the evolution of IT systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Windows and Linux server infrastructure, virtualization environments, and container platforms.
• Oversee networking, firewalling, and security activities to ensure reliability and protection.
• Handle backup, replication, disaster recovery, monitoring, and business continuity processes.
• Automate recurring tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform).
• Support AI/ML workloads, including GPU‑based tasks, and contribute to AI‑based tool adoption.
• Produce documentation, runbooks, and act as a reference for first‑level support teams.

Required profile

• Master’s degree with strong academic results in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of professional experience managing networking and infrastructure projects.
• Strong diagnostic, problem‑solving, and incident‑management capabilities under SLA constraints.

Required skills

• Administration of Windows and Linux environments.
• Scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, Python.
• Infrastructure as Code: Ansible, Terraform.
• Containers and virtualization: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps.
• Networking: wired/wireless, firewall management, SASE solutions.
• Security: Active Directory, Entra ID, MFA, system hardening, vulnerability management, EDR, basic SIEM, Zero Trust architectures.
• Data protection and continuity: backup, replication, disaster recovery, monitoring, observability tools.
• AI/ML support: GPU workloads, basic MLOps and AIOps knowledge.
• Nice‑to‑have: Mobile Device Management (Intune), macOS administration, relevant certifications (Microsoft, CKA, CCNA, security).
