System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a System Administrator to keep the scanning and compute infrastructure of a leading 3D‑scanning company running smoothly. You will own the day‑to‑day health of a Linux environment, improve configuration standards and gradually automate manual processes while working closely with software and infrastructure engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and configure scanning workstations, compute nodes and storage systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues (drives, GPUs, memory, networking) and software issues (drivers, containers, internal tools).
• Extend and maintain Ansible‑based configuration management.
• Provide technical support to engineering and operations teams.
• Build repeatable deployment processes for new scanning stations.
• Document infrastructure procedures and troubleshooting guides.
• Contribute to Infrastructure‑as‑Code initiatives and ensure high availability for development and production scanner systems.
• Maintain networking infrastructure across internal and client‑deployed environments.

Required profile

• Strong Linux system administration experience, preferably Ubuntu.
• Hands‑on hardware installation and troubleshooting skills.
• Solid networking fundamentals and troubleshooting ability.
• Understanding of how application software interacts with infrastructure (GPU drivers, CUDA, containers, storage mounts).
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of system problems.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally to client sites.
• Fluent English communication skills.
