Tax Accountant – Automotive Sector

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Accountant specialized in the automotive industry to join a leading automobile manufacturer in Milan. The role involves ensuring compliance with Italian tax regulations and supporting the finance team with tax‑related processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file IVA, IRES and IRAP declarations and pre‑payments.
• Handle import VAT deduction certifications and withholding tax matters.
• Manage electronic invoicing: issuance, review, filing and verification against business documents.
• Support accounts receivable verification, payment tracking and inventory documentation.
• Coordinate with Italian tax authorities and customs for inspections and data submissions.
• Maintain financial, tax and customs vouchers and assist the Chief Accountant with statements and audit support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; local Italian accounting qualification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of tax experience within Italian enterprises.
• Familiarity with tax processes, electronic invoicing, inventory and accounts receivable.
• Strong attention to detail, responsibility and good communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Italian.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP Enterprise or similar electronic accounting software (2 + years preferred).
