Team Leader – Service Hub (Trieste)

About the role

MacGregor is launching a new Service Hub in Trieste, Italy, to support its European customers. As the Team Leader you will build and lead a multidisciplinary team of technicians and engineers, ensuring high‑quality service delivery across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and manage workloads for technicians, engineers and service engineers serving multiple European branches.
• Lead, coach and develop the service engineering team, covering competence planning, training, quality, safety and HR matters.
• Act as the primary liaison between the Trieste hub and other company locations.
• Monitor KPIs, SLAs and quality standards; produce business reports and utilization forecasts.
• Oversee service administration, including travel logistics, visa applications, yard/port entry permits and local insurance.
• Manage indirect procurement of PPE, tools and consumables and approve incoming invoices.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, review field service reports and prepare invoicing documentation.

Required profile

• Proven leadership ability with strong organisational and decision‑making skills.
• Technical background in mechanical, electrical or marine engineering (apprenticeship, diploma or degree).
• Hands‑on experience in operations, field service or a similar coordination role.
• Demonstrated management and communication skills, capable of inspiring and coordinating a team.
• Good digital proficiency for day‑to‑day service administration.
