Technical Director Energy Transition

About the role

As Technical Director Energy Transition you will lead the delivery of complex energy infrastructure projects across Europe, supporting the generation business from concept and advisory development through detailed engineering, construction and operational support. You will help shape the sustainable energy system by providing strategic direction and technical oversight for a wide range of low‑carbon and renewable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute technical strategy for energy transition projects in Italy and the wider European region.
• Lead feasibility studies, front‑end engineering design (FEED), detailed design and owner’s engineer activities.
• Provide technical advisory services to clients, EPC contractors and OEMs.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering and project‑management teams to ensure high‑quality delivery.
• Coordinate with European clients and stakeholders to align project objectives with regulatory and sustainability goals.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in energy generation, including conventional thermal, low‑carbon gas, hydrogen, carbon capture and energy‑from‑waste.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale feasibility, FEED and detailed design projects.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Experience working on European energy projects and familiarity with EPC contracts.
