Technical Trainer Engineer – Semiconductor Equipment

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking 10 Technical Trainer Engineers to deliver high‑quality training to Field Service Engineers on the installation, start‑up, maintenance and commissioning of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The role combines deep technical expertise with classroom and hands‑on instruction, global collaboration and project leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver theoretical and hands‑on training courses at the Global Technical Learning Center in Treviso and at customer sites worldwide.
• Develop, implement and maintain training and certification programs in partnership with the global technical training team.
• Maintain and troubleshoot training‑lab equipment, ensuring safety standards and system readiness.
• Lead multiple training projects, coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage day‑to‑day training operations at the Treviso facility.
• Collaborate with Technical Publications and Product Business Groups to improve documentation and apply Instructional System Design (ISD) principles.

Required profile

• Technical University Degree (engineering or related field).
• Demonstrated expertise in semiconductor manufacturing equipment and hands‑on instructional delivery.
• Ability to work independently, solve complex technical and instructional challenges and travel up to 25% of the time.
