Test Pack Engineer (Oil & Gas)

About the role

We are looking for a Test Pack Engineer to support an oil and gas downstream project. The role will coordinate test pack activities, ensure proper documentation, and drive the execution of testing, punch‑list and commissioning tasks on site.

Key responsibilities

• Interface with the engineering department to receive system subdivisions on P&IDs and share them with mechanical subcontractors.
• Consolidate priorities from field engineering, site control, construction and commissioning teams for testing activities.
• Receive test circuit limits, test packages and blind lists from subcontractors and obtain site approval.
• Lead the test‑pack workflow, prioritising walk‑throughs, punch‑list clearance, NDTs and test execution based on line progress and PCC system priorities.
• Update the test‑pack database to monitor progress and assess productivity.
• Identify bottlenecks in the workflow and implement mitigation measures.
• Liaise with construction supervision, QC, HSE, the Notified Body, and the project commissioning team for punch‑list, NDT, safety barricading, pneumatic testing, cleaning hand‑over and final reinstatement.
• Trigger hand‑overs for painting touch‑ups, heat‑tracing, and insulation installation.
• Prepare and lead progress review meetings and ensure accurate reporting.

Required profile

• Proven ability to coordinate with engineering, construction, QC, HSE and subcontractor teams.
• Experience in managing test‑pack processes on oil and gas downstream sites.
• Strong organisational skills to monitor progress, identify bottlenecks and drive mitigation.
