Train RAMS Engineer

About the role

Alstom is looking for a Train Reliability, Availability, Maintainability & Safety (RAMS) Engineer to join its rolling‑stock team. You will ensure that trains and related systems meet the highest standards of efficiency, reliability and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define, deploy and manage the RAMS process for rolling‑stock projects from tender to warranty.
• Act as the primary RAMS contact for internal teams, suppliers, customers and railway authorities.
• Lead RAMS work‑packages, supporting technical design to meet performance targets and regulatory requirements.
• Provide advisory support to other functions to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Use data‑oriented and predictive tools to perform RAMS analyses and propose innovative monitoring methods.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering discipline.
• Strong independent mindset combined with excellent collaboration skills.
• Ability to understand and influence the full rolling‑stock development process.
• Creative problem‑solver with a focus on continuous improvement.
