Transportation Planning Internship

About the role

Barilla is looking for motivated students or recent graduates to join its Transportation Planning team at the headquarters in Parma. This six‑month internship offers hands‑on experience in managing operational issues, carrier coordination and performance monitoring within a global food leader.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of a structured process to manage operational issues, improving efficiency and collaboration.
• Contribute to the rollout of a ticketing workflow involving carriers and customers for delivery and delay management.
• Assist with carrier onboarding and stakeholder collaboration within the tracking process.
• Manage tickets and operational issues together with internal teams and transport providers.
• Monitor transport performance and support analysis and improvement initiatives.
• Support automation and optimisation of execution processes.
• Prepare operational documentation and dashboards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree student or recent graduate in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering or Economics with a focus on Supply Chain.
• Strong academic record and analytical abilities.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
• Study or work experience abroad is a plus.
