Transportation Specialist

About the role

JD.com is seeking a Transportation Specialist to lead daily road freight operations across Italy and European cross‑border routes. You will manage Full Truck Load, Less‑than‑Truck Load and intermodal services, ensuring smooth execution from order creation to final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end operational processes for road freight, including order entry, vehicle tracking and delivery confirmation in the Transport Management System (TMS).
• Identify and resolve operational anomalies such as delays, damages or customs holds, communicating promptly with carriers, customers and internal teams.
• Evaluate and improve the performance of external carriers and service providers, focusing on service quality, efficiency and cost control.
• Maintain accurate operational data, updating order details, vehicle information and actual shipping/delivery times.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in road freight operations or freight forwarding.
• Familiarity with European land transport networks and international logistics processes.
• Fluent in Italian and Chinese (reading, writing, speaking, listening) to support communication with local partners and headquarters.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Transport Management System (TMS) for order management and data recording.
