Welding Engineer – Monfalcone (EU applicants welcome)

About the role

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Welding Engineer to join its Monfalcone site. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of welding processes in line with nuclear safety culture and relevant codes. The role reports to the Senior Component Delivery Manager and follows a structured weekday schedule with some flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and coordinate welding qualification and test activities, including mock‑up tests and fabrication.
• Develop and author welding procedures, procedure qualification records, and related technical documentation (WB, WPS, PQR).
• Select appropriate filler materials based on code requirements and contractual specifications.
• Implement robotic welding solutions and apply process‑engineering fundamentals to welding processes.
• Conduct laboratory tests and supervise qualification validation activities.
• Ensure adherence to ASME, EN, RCC‑M, ASTM and other applicable codes and standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering, preferably in Materials or Mechanical Engineering.
• 0‑2 years experience for Engineer I or 3‑4 years for Engineer II.
• Strong understanding of ASME, EN, RCC‑M, ASTM standards and related mechanical testing.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 level).
