DevOps Engineer (Mid-Level & Senior)

About the role

Deltatre is looking for DevOps Engineers to join its DevOps team in Italy. The positions are offered on an Italian employment contract and require candidates to be based in Italy. You will work on cloud‑native infrastructure that powers the company’s software platforms, including Kubernetes clusters, Terraform‑managed resources, GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain cloud‑native architectures on Kubernetes with a focus on availability, performance and reliability.
• Develop and evolve Terraform infrastructure‑as‑code patterns for safe, repeatable provisioning.
• Implement and maintain GitOps workflows using Flux or equivalent tools.
• Improve system observability with Prometheus, Grafana and Kubernetes dashboards, and manage alerting.
• Lead complex incident response, conduct post‑mortems and deliver systemic fixes.
• Provide third‑line support on‑call, ensuring permanent resolutions.
• Review IT security exposure regularly and drive remediation actions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to platform direction.

Required profile

• Strong systems thinking and a passion for automation.
• Experience with cloud‑native environments and container orchestration.
• Ability to take ownership of operational reliability and drive improvements.
• Willingness to work onsite in Italy and comply with local employment regulations.
