Accountant – Italian Entity

About the role

Emeren Group Ltd, a global renewable energy leader, is seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Accountant to join its Italian team. This mid‑level position covers the full spectrum of accounting and finance operations for the Italian entity, ensuring accuracy, compliance with Italian GAAP (OIC), and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with Italian GAAP.
• Prepare management reports and financial analyses for local and group stakeholders.
• Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit.
• Process supplier invoices, manage customer invoicing, and monitor receivables.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain cash‑flow records.
• Prepare and submit VAT, corporate income tax (IRES/IRAP) and withholding tax filings.
• Post and reconcile monthly payroll entries in collaboration with an external payroll provider.
• Maintain project‑level accounting records, track costs, revenues and margins for solar development projects, and support cost‑control initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within an Italian context.
• Strong knowledge of Italian GAAP (OIC) and tax regulations.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work independently and with cross‑functional teams.
